About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hydrogeologist to join our dynamic team in Duisburg. You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects related to groundwater assessment, remediation of contaminated sites, and hydrogeological modelling. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hydrogeological site investigations, including fieldwork, groundwater sampling, and borehole logging.

  • Analyse groundwater flow and contaminant transport using numerical and analytical modelling tools.

  • Prepare detailed hydrogeological and environmental assessment reports in accordance with German regulations and international standards.

  • Support the design and implementation of remediation strategies for contaminated land and groundwater.

  • Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.

  • Oversee contractors and field teams during site work.

  • Contribute to environmental due diligence and risk assessments as part of site redevelopment projects.

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Hydrogeology, Geoscience, Environmental Engineering or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in hydrogeology and contaminated land assessment.

  • Solid knowledge of German environmental regulations (BBodSchG, BBodSchV, WHG, etc.).

  • Experience with modelling software such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, or similar.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficient in using GIS and data visualization tools.

  • Comfortable with fieldwork and managing environmental monitoring programs.

  • Fluent in German at a C1 level (written and spoken) – this is a mandatory requirement.
